System Upgrades are Here!

Citizens First Bank’s mission is to provide locally owned banking choices, premier customer service and the latest in technology.   In April, we facilitated a software upgrade that resulted in new features and improvements for many of our products.  We are happy to report that we had a smooth transition and our updated services are in place.  We are grateful to our customers for their work to prepare and adjust to the changes.  Thanks to each of you!

Some of the Perks:

  • One Mobile App with multi – check mobile deposit, person to person (P2P) payments and debit card control.
  • Ticketless transaction at the teller line. Less paper, more efficient!
  • Real Time transactions – end of business day is now 5:30pm Monday through Friday
  • Positive Pay “fraud detection software” for Business Online Banking customers
  • Expanded e-Statement options for loan products and “new” account notices

Important Dates 

Upgrade: Statements 

Appearance of statements will reflect minimal changes.  In April, you will receive two statements.  The first will include April 1 – April 23 with any interest earned during that time frame.  Your next regularly scheduled statement will include any interest earned from April 24, 2020, until the end of the statement cycle. 

Upgrade: ATM & Debit Cards

 

Citizens First Bank is excited to introduce a new Citizens First Bank Visa debit card.   

If you would like to change the PIN, please contact Customer Service after Tuesday, April 28, to learn more about your options to do so.  Please hold onto the mailer, as it contains important information you’ll need to change your PIN.

Your current Citizens First Bank Debit MasterCard will be deactivated on Thursday, April 23rd.  Though your old card will be inactive after this date, please dispose of it properly.  Remember to update your card information anywhere you have it saved. 

Existing CFB ATM cardholders will be issued a Visa Debit card with ATM withdrawal access only.

Debit Card limits from Thursday, April 23rd through midnight Saturday, April 25th are as follows:

  • ATM Withdrawals $300 per day
  • PIN based transactions $500 per day
  • Signature based transactions $1000 per day

Note: Apple Pay and Samsung Pay users will experience a disruption in service.  At the time of our upgrades on April 23, 2020, the new Visa debit card will NOT be immediately available for Mobile Wallets.  We will share further information about the availability of Mobile Wallet in the coming months.  

 
 
Upgrade: Digital Banking

 

Logging In 

Online Banking and Mobile Banking services will be unavailable from Thursday, April 23, 2020 through the morning of Monday, April 27, 2020.  Effective Monday, April 27th, you will login using your existing login ID. You will then be prompted for your password.

  1. Enter Your Password

Your password will be your existing user ID plus the last four numbers in your social security number.  For example: if your login (user) name is JDOE and the last four numbers of your SSN are 1234, your new password is JDOE1234.  (Continued on the next page)

  1. Security Q & A

Once you are logged in, you will be prompted to select a new password followed by selecting your security questions and answers.  

  1. Terms & Conditions

You will then accept the Terms and Conditions for Citizens First Bank Digital Banking Services.  

 

Money Manager 

Money Manager is your new personal finance management software.  Budget details currently within online banking will not convert into Money Manager.

 

Transfers

Scheduled transfers and payments will not be impacted with this system upgrade. Existing bill payees and scheduled bill payments will not be affected, and payments will process accordingly.  E-bills will need to be re-established after the system upgrade. You are encouraged to print screen shots with information from your current bill pay profile prior to April 23rd.  Your bill pay history will be available within the new digital banking system.  If you do not see a digital banking transfer or have questions on your account, please contact Customer Service. 

 

eStatements

To receive e-Statements, you will need to accept terms and conditions.  Just click on the Documents tab to review and accept the terms.  Once accepted, deposit statements, loan statements and all account notices will be available in Digital Banking and you will no longer receive statements or notices via USPS.

Mobile deposits through CFB app after 4:00pm will be considered a deposit on the next business day we are open.

Upgrade: Citizens First Bank ATMs 

All Citizens First Bank ATMs will be temporarily out-of-service for a period beginning Thursday, April 23rd through midnight on Saturday, April 25th.  To make deposits after hours during that period, please utilize the night depository at each of our banking locations. Balance inquiries will be unavailable at all ATMs until Monday, April 27th.   Please mark your calendar and plan accordingly. 

Customers will no longer be able to make deposits at non-CFB owned ATMs.  ATM deposits made at a CFB ATM after 4:00pm on a day we are open or on a non-business day will be considered a deposit on the next business day we are open.

Effective Monday, April 27th, funds deposited by check at a CFB ATM may not be made available for immediate withdrawal.

For all personal checking accounts, service charges will be waived for the month of April, 2020, due to our system upgrades.  Beginning May 2020, the normal qualifications and requirements will apply.

Will my account number change?

No, your account numbers will be the same after the upgrades are in place.

 

How will the system upgrades affect my ATM/ debit card?

With the upgrades, we are excited to introduce the new Citizens First Bank Visa debit card.  Your new card will arrive in the mail the week of April 6th.  A separate mailer will include your new PIN.  You will not have to activate this card; it will be ready for use on Thursday, April 23.  If you would like to change the PIN, please contact Customer Service after Tuesday, April 28, to learn more about your options to do so.  Please hold onto the mailer, as it contains important information you’ll need to change your PIN.

Citizens First Bank is happy to continue offering Instant Issue debit cards to our customers.

What about my account security? 
Our new enhanced authentication improves the security of your online accounts by using your phone to verify your identity.  Known as Out of Band Authentication, this provides another layer of security for you.
