IT Operations & Support Specialist

Position Summary: Responsible for assisting with daily technology operations across the bank, including providing technical support for computers, networks, and communications systems. This role supports the administration of systems including Microsoft 365, user access management, and endpoint technologies while helping ensure the security, reliability, and availability of the organization’s information systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides support to all departments and branches on matters relating to technology resources, to include but not limited to computers, printers, phone system/mobile phones and on-line activities.
• Assist with administration and support of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID) and endpoint management tools.
• Assist with user account provisioning, access changes, and periodic access reviews.
• Troubleshoots technical system and network issues to resolution
• Manage and escalate help desk service tickets, acting as a liaison between internal users and managed service providers to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain computer hardware & software inventory
• Ensure accurate tracking of IT assets and lifecycle management.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining endpoint security, patching, and system updates.
• Support information security efforts through identification and escalation of vulnerabilities or incidents.
• Assist with IT audits and exams
• Assist in preparation of documentation required for regulatory audits and exams.
• Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Assist in maintaining disaster recovery documentation and participate in testing and documentation of results.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for issue resolution and support needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology and process improvements.
• Provide guidance and basic training to users while delivering excellent customer service.
• Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required.

Miscellaneous Duties:

• Maintain professional expertise and participate in community involvement.
• Maintain awareness of cybersecurity threats and trends through ongoing education.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:

• Associates degree or equivalent experience
• Basic understanding of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, and endpoint support tools preferred.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies, automation tools, or AI-assisted workflows is a plus.

Physical Demands:

This position requires extended computer use and frequent hand movement for typing and handling equipment. Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. Strong visual ability is needed to read screens and technical materials, and occasional work in confined spaces may be necessary when installing or troubleshooting equipment.
